Tony Hind Sensei is one of only 5 non-Japanese Aikido practitioners who have ever lived at the Aikikai Foundation’s world headquarters (Hombu Dojo) and was the last foreigner and the only Canadian to reside there. He appeared 3 times at The All Japan Demonstration at the Nippon Budukon taking ukemi for senior Hombu Shihan, was uke for the Founder’s son, Kisshomaru Doshu, at demonstrations both in and out of the world headquarters, and has travelled abroad with the current Doshu, Moriteru Ueshiba.
